Job Description: CNC Set Up Operator – Spring Manufacturing (Including Coiler Set Up)

Summary

The CNC Set Up Operator with a focus in spring manufacturing, including coiler set up, plays a crucial role in preparing and operating CNC machines to produce precision springs. This position requires expertise in CNC programming, machine set up, and the specific skill of coiler set up to ensure efficient and accurate production of springs.

Responsibilities

1. CNC Machine and Coiler Set Up: Proficiently set up CNC machines for spring manufacturing operations and specialize in coiler set up to configure coiling machines for specific spring designs.
2. Programming and Operation: Develop and adjust CNC programs for various types of springs, and operate CNC coiling machines to execute production processes effectively.
3. Quality Assurance: Conduct meticulous quality checks on produced springs using precise measuring tools, and fine-tune machine settings to meet quality standards and specification requirements.
4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC coiling machines to ensure optimal functionality, and troubleshoot any operational issues to minimize downtime.
5. Safety Compliance: Strictly follow safety procedures and protocols while working with CNC coiling machines, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineering teams, machinists, and other personnel to optimize production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.

Requirements

1. Experience: Demonstrated expertise as a CNC Set Up Operator in spring manufacturing with a specialization in coiler set up and operation.
2. Technical Proficiency: Thorough understanding of CNC machine set up, programming, coiler configurations, and tooling requirements for spring production.
3. Precision and Detail-Oriented: Ability to produce precise springs within specified tolerances, conduct thorough quality inspections, and make adjustments for accuracy.
4. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills to handle machine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting effectively.
5. Safety Awareness: Commitment to upholding safety standards, ensuring machine safety protocols are followed, and actively participating in creating a safe work environment.

Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or certification in CNC machining and coiler setup is highly desirable
