Job Title: Material Handler

2nd Shift – 2:30pm – 11:00am

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Material Handler will be to efficiently and accurately handle materials and products within a warehouse or production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Receive incoming materials and products and verify accuracy of shipments.

2.    Unload, move, and store materials in designated locations.

3.    Conduct physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.

4.    Prepare materials for shipping, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.

5.    Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

6.    Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including keeping storage areas and workstations free of clutter.

7.    Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling hazardous materials and heavy equipment.

8.    Collaborate with other team members to fulfill orders and maintain efficient workflow.

9.    Identify and report any quality or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills:

1.    High school diploma or equivalent.

2.    Proven experience as a material handler or in a similar role.

3.    Ability to operate material handling equipment and machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (relevant certification or license may be required).

4.    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and products.

5.    Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

6.    Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.

7.    Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures for handling materials and equipment.
