Summary:

Our client is an innovative partner and supplier for the automotive, aerospace, defense and industrial industry sectors located in Sterling Heights. They are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for the design, development and integration of complex electronic and power distribution systems within military vehicles.

Responsibilities:

·        Design and develop the integration of complex electronic and power distribution systems.

·        Create drawings, schematics etc.

·        Support prototype development and test

·        Create and maintain electrical power budgets and allocations

·        Evaluate system performance through analytical analysis and simulations

·        Component/vehicle test support including understanding / creating test requirements,

·        Creating/reviewing test plans, monitor/analyze test results and troubleshoot issues performing corrective actions as needed

Qualifications:

·        Full cycle product development experience as it relates to electrical engineering design and systems integration

·        Working knowledge of digital, analog, power and RF electronics

·        Knowledge of Systems based design and related Standards/Processes

·        Detailed knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering and vehicle principles.

·        Possess the ability to explain complex concepts in a way that makes sense to someone less knowledgeable about the topic.

·        Bachelors of Science in Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Automotive)

·        Masters Degree in Science Engineering desired

·        Experience in delivering large complex programs

·        Experience with standard bus protocols (CANBus, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553)

·        Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements

·        Experience with military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems

·        Experience with bid capture, contract negotiations and delivery planning.

·        Experience with engineering and supply chain management in a highly regulated industry.

·        Currently holds or has the ability to obtain SECRET US Defense clearance
