Analysis Engineer

Job Summary:

The Analysis Engineer is a key role within the engineering team, focused on performance analysis (including mobility, lethality, survivability, structures, and cooling) necessary to assess requirements compliance and allocation. This role will apply digital analysis support to optimize design and prototyping, assess concept performance, and reduce risk in physical testing.

 

Essential Functions:

·      Support system and subsystem requirements, development and allocation.

·      Support system level trade studies and analysis to determine a balanced system design.

·      Provide analytical support to HIL/SIL simulations.

·      Support and adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations & policies.

·      Undertake other duties as determined by the MS&A manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

·      Experience with the US DoD ground vehicle programs.

·      Experience with multiple engineering analysis domains (mechanical, electrical, fluids, structures, cooling, shock and vibration)

·      Practical ‘hands on’ attitude with the ability to operate independently.

·      Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and be able to assimilate complex instructions easily.

·      Must demonstrate an enthusiasm to engage with and support overseas colleagues.

·      High level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-task; balancing “analysis” with “doing”. Must be adaptable and able to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Work on own initiative.

 

Education:

·      BSc Engineering required (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Automotive)

·      MSc Engineering desired (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Computer, Management)

 

Experience:

·      5-10 years’ experience Modeling, Simulation & Analysis

·      Experience with DoD Ground Vehicle Programs

·      Experience with 3D Analysis (Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Multi-Body Dynamics (MBS), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Thermal)

·      Experience with 1-D Simulation (GT-Suite, MATLAB/Simulink, Amesim)

·      Shock and Vibration Analysis (MIL-SD-810)

·      Experience of working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment.

 

 

Background Prerequisites:

·      Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

·      All employment at ARV is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if the position requires it.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Active U.S. Security Clearance Desirable

·      Working knowledge in multiple analysis domains

·      Physical Testing Experience

·      HIL/SIL Experience

·      JavaScript or Python experience
